If you are aged 4 to 7 and would like to enter Capture the Parents, here's what to do.
1. Take a picture of a grown-up you live with. The funnier the better. You can use your camera if you have one, or a family camera or mobile phone - ask the grown-up first.
2. Send the picture to Capture the Parents. You can email capture@livestock.org.uk, text 07530 673916 or post it to Livestock, 110 Pankhurst Avenue, Brighton BN2 9YN. Remember to tell us your name and age.
3. You might have your picture shown at The Dome Theatre. You might also win a great day out.
4. If you would like to borrow a camera to take pictures with, come to one of our workshops. The details for that are below

a photo competition with a difference
This time - kids take the pics!
Children are often the subject of photographs. Here the tables are turned and kids between four and seven years old get to take photos of their parents (or those that care for them).

Our judges will be selecting some 20 photos for exhibition at The Children’s Festival Exhibition, The Dome, Brighton April 2012
Judges include:
Zoe Ball, Lord Bassam, Guy Lloyd (Juice radio), Helen Cammock (Brighton Photo Fringe director), Gordon MacDonald (Photoworks Head of Publications).
Our panel are looking for photos that show aspects of parents’ characters, dispositions or busy lives.
There is a wide range of prizes including family tickets/vouchers to:
Sealife Centre, Drusillas, Michelham Priory, The Komedia Theatre, The
Dome Theatre, The Pavilion Museum, Washbrooks Farm, The Duke of York cinema,
Bombanes Restaurant, Yellowave Beach Sports, Clocktower Cameras, Knockhatch
Adventure Park, Newhaven Fort, Funplex, Jessops vouchers and Painting Pottery
Café.
We also have a number of Kiddizoom cameras for the best pictures.

The project incorporates
'Connected Families' - free photography workshops
funded by The Big Lottery Fund where you can learn about photography and borrow cameras for free. Crèche provided.
We are holding three free drop-in workshops for families, which concentrate on communication skills using photography. In these, participants will take photographs of each other in order to share different images of family relationships. These will be printed out and shared at no cost. Participating families can also pay a small deposit to take cameras away in order to continue the project at home. Places are limited, so register by emailing capture@livestock.org.uk or calling 01273 235336.
